On this page you will find links to our Rules and Regulations and the Traders Registration Form.

            First, please read ALL of the “Rules and Regulations” before you sign and return your Registration Form with your Registration Fee. You can also fill out the Online Registration Form and pay when you arrive.

            Please Note the Following Special Concerns

         We are a Kiowa group and these rules are strictly enforced out of respect for our Kiowa elders, families, and friends. This is especially true of the following:

            a) Traditional herbs such as cedar, sage, sweet grass, etc. are not prohibited unless your packaging suggests it is for “medicine”, “healing”, or “spiritual” use. The same can be said for the packaging and/or signs, etc., promoting any item(s) at your table. Do not use the words “medicine”, “healing”“, spiritual”, "and religious", etc., under any circumstances to promote or sell any item. No exceptions;

            b) Remember that all rubber toys (including, but not limited to, knives, tomahawks, bows, arrows, etc.),  as well as whips, drums, toy flutes, whistles, toy rattles, throwing knives, axes, etc. are also expressly forbidden at all times. They are often disruptive, even dangerous at other dances, especially in the hands of children who are poorly chaperoned. We don't want flutes, whistles, or drums being played during Prayers and other special moments, nor do we want someone struck with a whip or knife or other "toy" so we don't want them sold at our Dance. As a result, we consider all of these items to be disrespectful and will not tolerate them in or around the arena at any time. If you attempt to sell these items, you will be ejected from the Arena;

            c) Absolutely no lances are permitted at any time, anywhere around the arena without the expressed approval of our Headsmen. These are important family symbols, as well as symbols of the office and responsibilities of our Headsmen who have been given the privilege to have them. No one else is permitted to do so at our dances; and

            d) Remember that we are a Kiowa Group and no bear hides, claws or other body parts of any kind, including bear claw necklaces, are permitted anywhere around the arena at any time.

Just because you can sell an item at another dance does not mean you can sell it here.

            Reminder

            As always, we will have members acting as “secret shoppers” checking merchandise in all traders’ booths. Remember: selling banned and/or prohibited items at any time may result in your ejection from the Arena and terminate your privilege to set up at future dances. Any exception(s) to any rule(s) is at the sole discretion of the Organization.

Please click the links below for the necessary documentation. Be sure to print a copy of both documents.
